so we just got back on sunday from a week in california (phenomenal trip!) and we came home to a puppy who didn't look like the same one we said goodbye to. she was HUGE! i could barely believe my eyes. her head was at least twice as large and she had finally grown into her lengthy legs. quite shocking how quickly she is growing...even more sad that we weren't there to see it all. she spent the week at grandma(s) sharon(s) houses and we are FOREVER GRATEFUL to all of you for watching (err..putting up with) zoey for an entire week. i can't tell you how much we badly needed the break from work/life/summer/etc. and it was wonderful knowing she was in EXCELLENT hands! :) she came back a calmer puppy...although as i say that i am knocking on the wood coffee table. ;) we took her to the dog park tonight and she really loved it. i think i liked it more than she did though. i was a glowing proud mama who just wanted her baby to fit in on the playground. she found quite a few friends...mostly humans because everyone was gasping at how darn cute she was. i'll admit, i enjoy basking in her spotlight. she surely is a crowd pleaser. i joked w/eric tonight that it's too bad he already has a girlfriend b/c zoey would pick him up lots of girls. they all just love her. i was playing around with my new camera (thanks eric!) and got some really great shots of her on sunday when we got back. they quite honestly make my heart melt and i hope to capture a ton more in the near future to share with you. you'd be amazed how big she is now. i hope these pictures truly showcase her size (and of course her beautiful face) :) signing out for now. well, i thought i'd post pictures but the battery in my camera is dead so i'll have to wait until tomorrow night. the one above is from right before we left so that will have to hold you over.
